Space Crops Could Bring Mars Mission One Step Closer Aug 20, 2015

Astronauts aboard the International Space Station have taken a big bite toward having a more sustainable spacecraft this week when they ate the first crop grown in space. In his comments about tasting the red romaine lettuce, astronaut Scott Kelly said that it, “tastes good. Kinda like argula,” referring to common leafy vegetable that is also known as rocket.
